As a GIS Project Manager – Utility Network Integration (ESRI Stack), you’ll play a key role within the organization’s WAN Program, which aims to enhance risk assessment and operational efficiency through integrated network management. You’ll join the GIS Product Team, responsible for aligning and integrating all GIS-related systems and processes that support network operations.
This is a senior coordination role requiring both strong project management capabilities and deep technical understanding of the ESRI stack and GIS data environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate ICT-driven projects within the GIS domain, ensuring delivery across all phases — analysis, design, testing, and release.
- Collaborate with business project leaders to monitor progress, proactively manage risks, and ensure delivery within time, budget, and quality constraints.
- Guarantee alignment and dependency management with other ongoing initiatives within the WAN Program.
- Ensure transparent reporting to stakeholders on project scope, risks, timelines, and financial status.
- Lead projects following the organization’s agreed methodology and ensure consistent application by the team.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing, quality control, and user adoption during delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and foster collaboration within the product team.
What are we looking for?
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of experience leading or coordinating ICT projects.
- Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise with the ESRI Stack (Server, Portal, Desktop, SDKs, APIs).
- Experience with ESRI Utility Network (Gas, Electricity).
- Practical experience with data migrations — including profiling, assessment, cleaning, and enrichment.
- Experience working with Flemish digital platforms or databases such as KLIP, GIPOD, GRAR, GRB.
- Higher education degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Fluent in Dutch (CEFR level C2) — written and spoken.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Familiarity with FME Server (Flow) and FME Desktop (Form).
- Understanding of data management and quality control in software development.
- Knowledge or experience in the Belgian energy sector (electricity/gas).
- Experience with data migration strategies and GIS data lifecycle management.
