We are looking for a SAP Manufacturing Systems Domain Lead to oversee the digital transformation of manufacturing operations across multiple production sites.
You will lead a small team of ICT specialists and act as both domain expert and architect, shaping the roadmap for SAP S/4HANA, MES, and complementary manufacturing applications.
Your focus: ensure the alignment between ICT and business, manage the full application lifecycle, and deliver projects that drive operational excellence and innovation in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as application owner for SAP and non-SAP manufacturing domains; define the long-term architecture and evolution roadmap.
- Lead and coach a team of ICT specialists supporting production systems.
- Coordinate daily priorities, monitor performance, and ensure incident resolution within SLA.
- Act as primary liaison for business stakeholders, managing governance forums and communicating progress on the manufacturing IT roadmap.
- Translate business requirements into system solutions supporting efficiency, quality, and traceability.
- Manage third-party providers for both SAP and non-SAP applications (changes, upgrades, 3rd-line support).
- Drive application lifecycle management, from incident reduction to upgrade planning.
- Represent the manufacturing domain in ICT projects; lead smaller initiatives end-to-end (time, budget, scope).
What are we looking for?
SAP & Manufacturing Systems
- Deep expertise in SAP PP, WM, QM, including hands-on configuration and integration.
- Experience managing or implementing MES solutions and shop-floor applications (non-SAP).
- Solid understanding of end-to-end manufacturing processes and system integration with logistics, quality, and plant maintenance.
Application & Project Management
- Proven track record in application lifecycle management (support, change, upgrades).
- Experience working with outsourced support partners and multi-vendor setups.
- Pragmatic use of project management methods in global organizations.
- Experience applying change management and risk management principles during deployments.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Strong business partnering and communication skills with both operations and senior management.
- Ability to define, prioritize, and communicate a manufacturing systems roadmap aligned with corporate strategy.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to S/4HANA migration projects or brownfield/greenfield implementations.
- Experience integrating automation or OT systems (PLC, SCADA, IoT) into MES.
- Familiarity with GMP, ISO 9001, or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Working knowledge of SAP EWM, PM, or MM modules.
- Fluent in English and Dutch (preferred)
