Our client, a specialized national security and law enforcement organization, is looking for a Senior Network Administrator to join their technical support division. This role focuses on the design, deployment, and security of critical network infrastructure within a hybrid environment to support sensitive operational requirements.
Your responsibilities:
- Design and manage physical and virtual network architectures across hybrid and on-premise environments.
- Administer and maintain complex LAN/WAN/WLAN infrastructures to ensure optimal connectivity.
- Implement and manage advanced security solutions including firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Monitor network performance and provide expert troubleshooting for complex connectivity and configuration issues.
- Lead the transition toward software-defined networking (SDN) and virtualized network services.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and security experts on large-scale modernization and migration projects.
What are we looking for?
- You bring 8+ years of experience in network administration within critical or mission-critical environments.
- You have a strong command of Cisco and Fortinet networking technologies.
- You possess in-depth knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, VLAN, BGP, OSPF, and QoS.
- You have proven expertise in routing, switching, and MPLS technologies.
- You have extensive experience implementing network security strategies and managing security appliances.
- You're familiar with modern network virtualization and SDN solutions.
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, networking, or possess equivalent professional experience.
- You are fluent in French or Dutch with a professional command of the other language and technical English.
- You are eligible for and able to obtain a TOP SECRET level security clearance.
- You possess a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset for handling technical challenges in high-pressure environments.
Nice to Haves
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, NSE, or PCNSE.
- Experience with advanced network monitoring and management tools.
