A large public organization is looking to strengthen and modernize its Microsoft 365 environment. The focus is not only on tooling, but on governance, security, adoption, and long-term optimization.

You will act as the technical authority for Microsoft 365, working closely with IT leadership and the existing M365 administrator. Your mission is to assess the current setup, define a clear roadmap, and drive improvements across collaboration, security, device management, and user adoption. Here's what you’ll do:

Audit & Assessment

• Perform a full technical audit of the Microsoft 365 tenant, identifying strengths, gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Assess Microsoft Intune configuration for device and application management.
• Review Microsoft Defender configuration and effectiveness.
• Analyse Microsoft 365 license usage and propose optimization strategies.
• Evaluate Microsoft Teams usage, including collaboration patterns and telephony setup.

Strategy & Roadmap

• Define a clear Microsoft 365 optimization roadmap aligned with business and IT priorities.
• Support IT management with guidance on governance, best practices, and adoption.
• Design a structured training and enablement approach for end users and administrators.
• Define strategies for optimal use of Microsoft Teams, including integrated telephony.

Configuration & Administration

• Configure and optimize Intune for secure and efficient device management.
• Implement and manage security policies using Microsoft Defender.
• Set up monitoring and reporting to track performance, security, and usage.
• Configure and administer Microsoft Teams for collaboration, meetings, and telephony.

Support & Enablement

• Provide advanced technical support to IT teams and key users.
• Organize and deliver training sessions and workshops.
• Coach administrators and ensure effective knowledge transfer within the organization.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure Microsoft 365 configurations align with security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with security teams on policies, controls, and compliance initiatives.
• Continuously improve the platform based on evolving risks, feedback, and Microsoft roadmap updates.
