This client manages a complex academic and research IT environment with demanding network, datacenter and security requirements. You will help operate and evolve the core network infrastructure that supports thousands of users, critical applications and campus-wide services. The role combines project work with daily operational ownership.
What You’ll Do
- Design, deploy and maintain LAN/WAN network infrastructure across campuses and datacenters.
- Install, configure and support switches, routers, firewalls and load balancers.
- Manage routing, switching and core protocols (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN).
- Ensure performance, availability and QoS across all network services.
- Implement and maintain network security controls including segmentation, access policies and monitoring.
- Diagnose and resolve complex incidents (L2/L3).
- Contribute to network architecture improvements and infrastructure upgrade projects.
- Document configurations, standards and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with system, security and application teams to ensure stable and secure operations.
- Follow up maintenance activities and ensure service continuity.
What are we looking for?
- Solid experience with enterprise network technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
- Hands-on experience with network equipment deployment and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs and authentication mechanisms.
- Experience in both operational support and project-based work.
- Strong analytic and troubleshooting skills.
- Fluent French; working proficiency in English.
- Experience in academic/university IT environments.
- Engineering degree.
- Datacenter design or project management certifications.
- Experience with datacenter infrastructure operations.
