Our client is modernising its data and analytics landscape and shifting toward a hybrid architecture that combines SAP-based systems with a cloud-native Azure data platform. Within the Market Operations domain, a new analytics stack is being built to replace legacy SAP BI components and support upcoming needs around MIG6 processes, CMS data integration and advanced reporting.
To accelerate this migration and support ongoing BI initiatives, the team is looking for an experienced BI Consultant who can deliver end-to-end data and reporting solutions — from requirements and modelling to development, testing and operational support.
What You’ll Do
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into data models, ETL pipelines and reporting solutions.
- Design and build data models in Azure Databricks (incl. SQL, Python and Data Lake layers).
- Develop high-quality Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Support the migration of SAP/BODS-based BI components to the Azure platform.
- Maintain the BI and data platforms, including monitoring daily load jobs and performing keep-it-running activities.
- Handle incident and problem management, planned interventions and release/change processes.
- Advise stakeholders on BI capabilities, data quality, and analytics improvements.
- Provide functional support to business users within the Market Operations domain.
- Collaborate with domain data teams to deliver integrated data products.
What are we looking for?
- You have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a BI Consultant.
- You possess strong skills in Data Management (ETL).
- You have a proven track record with reporting tools.
- You excel in requirements analysis.
- You are proficient with Databricks.
- You are skilled in SQL scripts.
- You demonstrate experience in a Microsoft Azure environment.
- You are knowledgeable in data analysis.
- You have experience in information modeling, particularly in logical data modeling.
- You are adept at data vault modeling.
- You possess experience with Python programming.
- You have worked in the Belgian energy sector.
- You are familiar with star schema modeling.
- You understand energy market processes, roles, and regulations.
- You have proven experience with Power BI as a reporting tool.
- You are proficient in Dutch at European CEFR level C2.
