You will join a public-sector organisation responsible for providing accurate information about underground cables and pipelines. Their mission is to prevent excavation damage, improve safety, and make geospatial utility data accessible to contractors, citizens, and local authorities. This role sits in the data & analytics team and focuses on building the next generation of reporting and data warehouse capabilities.
You support the development, optimization, and maintenance of a modern data warehouse environment. You work closely with analysts, product owners, and technical experts to translate reporting needs into reliable datasets, dashboards, and data pipelines.
Your responsibilities include:
- Designing and modelling data warehouse components based on business requirements.
- Developing ETL/ELT pipelines to prepare, transform, and load data.
- Working with Azure Synapse and Databricks to build scalable data solutions.
- Creating SQL and Python scripts for data processing and validation.
- Supporting the setup of dashboards and management reporting.
- Ensuring data quality, consistency, and proper documentation.
What are we looking for?
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience with Azure Synapse and Databricks.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python.
- At least 1 year of experience (or training) in data warehouse modelling.
- Experience designing or developing data warehouse components with tools such as Cognos or DataStage.
- Fluent Dutch (CEFR C2).
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of ETL processes for operational or financial datasets.
- Experience with SAP authorisation or access testing.
- Understanding of data warehousing architectures and components (ETL, BI, metadata).
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
