You’ll join an organisation that is scaling its digital and data capabilities to support a growing portfolio of services. Each customer segment has unique challenges, and your role is to turn complex datasets into clear insights that shape strategy and operational excellence. You act as the link between business needs and the BI/data engineering teams, ensuring data products are accurate, scalable, and trusted.
What you’ll do
- Capture the business needs for your customer segment and translate them into clear specifications for BI Developers, Data Architects, and Data Engineers.
- Shape and prioritise the analytics roadmap, balancing feasibility, budget, security, GDPR, scalability, and architectural guidelines.
- Design analytical techniques for large datasets and turn findings into actionable insights for management and policy teams.
- Test and validate data products against functional requirements, group standards, and quality criteria.
- Ensure reporting consistency through strong data governance, quality controls, and clear documentation.
- Maintain and evolve dashboards, reports, and analytical assets that support decision-making.
- Analyse market signals, subsector developments, and customer trends to advise on growth opportunities.
- Ensure that data products follow modern engineering practices across a predominantly Microsoft environment (Azure, Power BI, SQL, Databricks).
- Drive effective collaboration between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and outcomes.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of ownership, learning, and continuous improvement.

Technical skills
- You have 4–6 years of experience with data analysis and modern analytics methods.
- You have 3–5 years of experience working closely with BI Developers and Data Engineers.
- You understand data architecture principles and can collaborate effectively with Data Architects.
- You have 3–5 years of experience with data stewardship, governance, and data quality management.
- You have 3–5 years of experience planning analytics roadmaps, including security, GDPR, scalability, and feasibility considerations.
- You have 2–4 years of experience testing and validating data products.
- You have proven knowledge of reporting standards and quality control.
- You bring experience with market and trend analysis to support strategic advice.
- You have 4–6 years of stakeholder management experience.
- You have 3–5 years of experience leading or coaching teams.
