This is a hands-on coordination and documentation role at the intersection of IT operations, cybersecurity, and crisis management. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare and execute simulation exercises ranging from internet disconnections and cyberattacks to power or communication outages.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design simulation scenarios (e.g., blackout, cyber incident, communication outage) and facilitate debriefings.
  • Maintain detailed and structured documentation to support DRP readiness.
  • Collaborate with crisis management teams to improve preparedness and response playbooks.
  • Support release management activities, including:
  • Preparing patching schedules and communications
  • Validating intervention plans (IPs)
  • Participating in CAB (Change Advisory Board) meetings
  • Following up on related actions and improvements
  • Provide recommendations to strengthen the organization’s resilience and continuity capabilities.
  • Promote a culture of preparedness and continuous improvement across IT and business stakeholders.
  • What are we looking for?

    Must-Have Skills

    • Solid understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Management principles.
    • Knowledge of ISO 22301, NIS 2, and Crisis Management frameworks.
    • Experience with incident response, backup/recovery, or resilience testing.
    • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, firewalls, and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, routing).
    • Working knowledge of CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and defense-in-depth security strategies.
    • Strong documentation and reporting skills; able to translate complex exercises into actionable plans.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical teams.
    • Language Requirements: Dutch or French (fluent) + English (good command)

    Nice-to-Haves

    • Understanding of cloud security (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
    • Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK or NIST incident response frameworks.
    • Experience designing and facilitating continuity exercises.
