We’re looking for an AI Project Manager to lead a Generative AI pilot project, developing of a secure, Azure-hosted chatbot powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). The chatbot will allow field teams to instantly access technical information from internal documentation, helping modernize operations and improve knowledge accessibility.
You’ll coordinate a small, cross-functional AI team (Architect, Engineer, and key business stakeholders) and ensure the project is delivered on time, on budget, and fully aligned with governance and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a GenAI pilot project from concept to deployment.
- Apply Agile methodologies tailored to AI development, ensuring structured iteration, testing, and feedback.
- Manage planning, risk, budget, and scope, and report regularly to internal stakeholders.
- Facilitate collaboration between business users, internal IT teams, and external AI specialists.
- Ensure the solution adheres to organizational security, governance, and compliance standards (including the EU AI Act).
- Support change management and promote user adoption of the new AI-enabled tools.
- Coordinate the integration of business requirements, data sources, and feedback cycles with the Architect and Engineer.
- Contribute to project documentation, communication, and retrospective reviews.
What are we looking for?
Must-Have Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Digital Project Manager, including proven experience on AI or ML-related projects.
- Solid understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG-based architectures.
- Knowledge of chatbot or agent systems and their integration with business data sources.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional, technical teams and balance priorities across stakeholders.
- Strong experience with cloud-hosted AI initiatives, ideally in Microsoft Azure environments.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French or Dutch is an advantage.
Nice-to-Have
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Experience leading projects that leverage GenAI models trained on technical or enterprise documentation.
- Familiarity with data governance, AI ethics, and regulatory frameworks such as the EU AI Act.
- Demonstrated experience managing two or more AI projects in production.
