Our client is a global leader in automation solutions for logistics and e-commerce, specializing in robotic systems and turnkey industrial projects. They are seeking a Software Engineer to design and develop the software architectures that power their market-leading automation technologies.
Your responsibilities:
Our client designs and delivers advanced automation solutions for logistics and intralogistics environments, combining robotics, modular systems, and engineered software solutions. To support a large-scale automation project, the organization is looking for a Software Engineer to design, build, test, and commission industrial software components.
The role is strongly execution-focused and combines software development with simulation, testing, and on-site commissioning in a highly technical engineering environment.
Responsibilities:- Design and develop industrial software applications using C# and .NET Core.
- Translate functional requirements into detailed technical designs and software components.
- Perform technical analyses and produce UML diagrams, flowcharts, and interface specifications.
- Work within an Agile/Scrum delivery setup with CI/CD practices.
- Define and execute test plans, including simulation, emulation, and integration testing.
- Validate software during in-house testing and support integration activities.
- Participate in on-site commissioning in close collaboration with commissioning engineers.
- Prepare and maintain user and technical documentation.
What are we looking for?
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Applied Informatics, Industrial Informatics, Electronics, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- You have hands-on experience developing applications in Windows and/or Linux environments.
- You bring solid experience with an object-oriented programming language, preferably C# and .NET Core.
- You are familiar with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- You have exposure to virtualization and container technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Docker.
- You are comfortable working in an Agile development environment.
- You are fluent in Dutch or French and have a good command of English.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with industrial automation or intralogistics systems.
- Hands-on experience with software testing, simulation, or emulation environments.
- Prior involvement in commissioning or integration projects.
