You’ll join a digital organisation that runs a large, modern ICT landscape and is steadily moving toward a Cloud-first approach. The Systems team manages the full infrastructure stack — from servers and networks to cloud platforms — and ensures reliability, availability, and performance across all services.
As an Azure Cloud Architect, you help design, implement, and evolve cloud environments that are secure, scalable, and future-proof. You enjoy solving complex challenges, exploring new technologies, and turning ideas into robust solutions that support the entire organisation.
What You’ll Do
You work hands-on across the full cloud lifecycle:
- Design and implement Azure architectures that support stable and high-availability environments.
- Manage and optimise Azure resources and services in a structured, best-practice way.
- Apply and maintain strong cloud security standards.
- Automate Azure environments using scripting (Bicep, PowerShell, …).
- Configure and improve Azure components, processes, and deployments.
- Support cloud recovery, monitoring, and performance improvements.
- Manage access, delegation, and identity integration with Entra ID.
- Contribute to cloud adoption, platform evolution, and continuous improvement.
What are we looking for?
- You bring more than 3 years of experience designing, building, and managing cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure.
- You understand cloud architecture, automation, governance, identity, and cost management.
- You’re comfortable working in Agile environments and able to structure your work clearly.
- You communicate fluently in Dutch, with active knowledge of English and French.
- A relevant IT degree or equivalent experience is expected.
- Technologies you should know your way around:
- Azure services, governance, and architecture
- Bicep or similar scripting for IaC
- Azure identity & access management (Entra ID, delegation, rights)
- Automation & cloud operations
- Cloud security & best practices
- Cost management principles
A hands-on cloud specialist who enjoys innovation, problem-solving, and improving environments step by step. You think proactively, communicate clearly, and work well with both technical colleagues and wider stakeholders. Ownership and structure come naturally to you.
