Our client is delivering a strategic AI-driven MVP within a regulated enterprise context, focused on intelligent document processing and retrieval-based solutions. The Expert AI Architect is responsible for defining and governing the end-to-end architecture, covering application landscape, data ingestion, metadata models, RAG/LLM pipelines, security, and compliance.
This role combines architectural authority, delivery governance, and stakeholder alignment to ensure the solution is robust, compliant, and aligned with both business and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:- Define the complete end-to-end architecture for an AI-driven MVP, including ingestion, storage, metadata management, RAG/LLM flows, search, and validation tooling.
- Translate business objectives into a clear architectural roadmap, including prioritization, risks, KPIs, and delivery constraints.
- Guide AI/ML and engineering teams throughout implementation, ensuring architectural consistency and technical quality.
- Embed regulatory and compliance requirements such as GDPR, EU AI Act, ISO 42001, and Azure security standards into the solution design.
- Ensure alignment between technical decisions, user experience expectations, and delivery outcomes.
- Lead and facilitate architectural decision-making workshops and arbitration sessions.
- Provide expert review and validation of technical deliverables and implementation choices.
What are we looking for?
- You have 15+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, digital transformation, or delivery of complex IT programs.
- You bring proven expertise in deploying AI solutions, including LLM- and RAG-based architectures, data pipelines, and cloud platforms.
- You possess strong knowledge of GDPR, the EU AI Act, ISO 42001, and enterprise security frameworks, particularly in Microsoft Azure.
- You have solid experience with SharePoint migrations, metadata modeling, and enterprise data structuring.
- You are experienced in architectural modeling, system integration, and solution design at enterprise scale.
- You demonstrate strong leadership skills, guiding multidisciplinary teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
- You are fluent in French or Dutch with good professional proficiency in the other national language.
Nice to Haves
- Relevant architecture certifications such as TOGAF, CITA, or equivalent.
- Experience with portfolio management or structured delivery governance frameworks.
- Background in AI, cloud security, or enterprise compliance certifications.
- Experience working in highly regulated or public-sector environments.
