You will join a self-managing team responsible for analysing, coordinating and resolving incidents, problems and change requests within the core market communication platform used across the Belgian energy sector. This platform supports billing, settlement and structured message exchanges between market parties, making quality and continuity critical.

In this role, you work closely with analysts, vendors and distribution operators to analyse system behaviour, validate fixes, coordinate improvements and ensure stable, predictable operations. You bring a combination of business analysis, process optimisation, ITIL expertise and sector knowledge. You contribute to a positive team culture built on ownership, collaboration and transparent communication.

What you will do

  • You analyse and coordinate incidents, problems and changes related to batch processing and market communication flows.
  • You investigate root causes, propose optimisations and follow up on the implementation of fixes or process adaptations.
  • You participate in weekly alignment meetings with vendors and market parties, ensuring clear communication and shared understanding of issues, priorities and resolutions.
  • You evaluate system behaviour, document updates, share knowledge across the team and proactively identify improvements in workflows or internal processes.
  • You manage your own priorities independently, raise risks where needed and contribute to a smooth and collaborative team environment.
  • You help maintain and improve process documentation and support onboarding of new team members.

What are we looking for?

  • 5+ years experience as Business Analyst or Functional Analyst
  • Strong experience in business process development & optimisation (BPM)
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem & Change Management (5+ years)
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis
  • Native-level Dutch or French (CEFR C1) and good working knowledge of English
  • Proven experience within the Belgian energy sector, including Bill & Measure flows, MIG DGO and MIG6
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree

Nice-to-have skills

  • Experience with SQL (writing and analysing queries)
  • Experience with Topdesk or other ITSM tools
  • ITIL certification
  • Scrum certification
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

What do we offer?

Start date: 1 January 2026

End date: 31 December 2026 (extendable by 12 months)

Location: Brussels (hybrid; approx. 1+ day/week on-site)
