You will work as a Functional Application Manager responsible for the operational management and support of a portfolio of business applications. Your focus is on ensuring continuity, usability, and controlled evolution of applications used in social and care-related operational processes.
Your responsibilities include
- Providing first-line functional support by answering questions from end users and key users.
- Performing second-line support through in-depth analysis and functional troubleshooting.
- Coordinating and structurally following up third-line support with external vendors under SLA agreements.
- Supporting and executing application upgrades, ranging from minor updates to larger releases.
- Managing user access and authorizations, including role and rights assignment.
- Administratively following up vendor-delivered services and support agreements.
- Analysing existing application usage and identifying functional improvement opportunities.
- Documenting applications clearly, including functional descriptions, application architecture diagrams, and tooling overviews.
- Maintaining procedures and documentation and making them accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Supporting change initiatives related to application improvements or migrations.
What are we looking for?
- You have at least 3 years of experience as a Functional Application Manager.
- You have at least 3 years of experience building and maintaining applications in a functional or application management context.
- You have proven experience evaluating applications functionally and defining maintenance or conversion strategies.
- You have experience planning and implementing functional and organisational changes related to applications.
- You demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and follow-up skills.
- You have knowledge of application implementation, configuration, and functional support.
- You are fluent in Dutch at CEFR level C2.
- Experience with SQL for functional analysis or data validation.
- Experience working with Service Desk or ticketing systems.
- Basic operational knowledge of care or ERP applications.
- Familiarity with applications such as Geracc, Into.Care, or Neptunus.
- Experience in the public sector or within a local government context.
- Experience acting as initiative owner or project lead for application improvements or migration initiatives.
- Knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and development/test environments.
- Practical experience applying ITIL processes, including change and configuration management.
