As a Project Manager in the life insurance domain, you will take ownership of complex regulatory and product-related initiatives. You will guide product adaptations, process updates, system changes, and customer documentation adjustments to ensure full alignment with evolving Belgian and EU regulations such as Solvency II, IDD, ESG, and AML. Your role combines regulatory interpretation, product governance, and structured project delivery, working closely with business teams, compliance, risk, legal, and IT.
What You Will Do
- You will lead end-to-end delivery of regulatory and product initiatives, from initial impact assessment through implementation and post-delivery evaluation.
- You will translate regulatory requirements into clear and actionable changes to products, processes, and systems, and ensure that customer journeys and documentation remain accurate and compliant.
- You will define plans, roadmaps, and timelines, monitor progress, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure that project outcomes meet both regulatory expectations and business objectives.
- You will coordinate closely with compliance, risk, and legal stakeholders to validate scope and confirm that all deliverables are audit-ready.
- You will act as a key communication point, providing structured updates to senior leadership and governance bodies, while maintaining consistent alignment across teams.
- After each delivery, you will consolidate lessons learned and help strengthen product oversight and governance (POG) practices.
What are we looking for?
- 10+ years of experience in project or product management within life insurance or broader financial services.
- Strong understanding of Belgian and EU regulatory frameworks (e.g., FSMA, NBB, Solvency II, IDD).
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Strong ability to translate regulatory language into practical product and process changes.
- Confident stakeholder communicator with experience managing senior and cross-functional counterparts.
- Highly analytical, structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating regulatory complexity.
- Languages: Fluent in Dutch or French, plus professional English.
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or Agile.
