Our client, a major European energy transmission organization, is looking for a Solution Architect to join their digital division. The role involves designing technical solutions to modernize the application landscape and support business transformation initiatives across international units.
Your responsibilities:
- Analyze functional and non-functional requirements while accounting for technical constraints.
- Decompose business capabilities into relevant solution building blocks using established architectural patterns.
- Align stakeholders across product organizations and delivery teams to ensure technical consistency.
- Produce detailed architecture designs in accordance with organizational vision and standards.
- Support delivery teams to ensure solution implementation aligns with architectural designs.
- Navigate the design lifecycle using governance frameworks and decision-making techniques like ADR and ATAM.
What are we looking for?
- You have a minimum of 6 years of experience in a Solution Architect role within complex IT environments.
- You have strong experience designing application and integration architectures.
- You are proficient with architectural standards and frameworks such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, ATAM, or CBAM.
- You have hands-on experience with modern architectural paradigms, including Domain-Driven Design (DDD), microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- You are comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership in a stakeholder-rich environment.
- You have experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- You are fluent in English and German.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with architecture modeling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect.
- Knowledge of additional languages such as Dutch or French.
- Experience working in large, regulated or infrastructure-heavy organizations.
