Our client, a specialized public safety organization, is seeking a Senior System Administrator to lead the evolution of their software and systems infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability and modernization of server environments within a high-stakes technical context.
Your responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize virtualized environments using VMware, Proxmox, and Hyper-V.
- Administer and maintain complex server environments across both Windows and Linux platforms.
- Lead the management of Active Directory, GPO, DNS, and DHCP services.
- Automate recurring infrastructure tasks using scripting tools such as Python, PowerShell, and Ansible.
- Maintain system security through consistent patching, backups, and business continuity planning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design robust and scalable system architectures.
What are we looking for?
- You have 7+ years experience in system administration for both Windows and Linux environments.
- You possess solid technical skills in virtualization, storage, and infrastructure security.
- You're experienced with core network services including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- You bring proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- You have a strong understanding of infrastructure components, networking, and identity management.
- You are fluent in French or Dutch with at least a passive knowledge of the other language.
- You have a good command of technical English.
- You are eligible and willing to undergo a Top Secret security clearance process.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or equivalent professional experience.
