Our client, a prominent educational and research institution, is looking for an ICT Business Analyst to support their business operations. The role focuses on bridging the gap between strategic organizational needs and technical IT solutions within a large-scale environment.

Your responsibilities:

Our client, a large public-sector organization operating in a complex institutional environment, is looking for a Senior ICT Business Analyst to support strategic and operational initiatives across multiple domains.

The role focuses on business process analysis, stakeholder alignment, and translating organizational needs into clear functional requirements within an ICT context. Given the scale, governance requirements, and multi-stakeholder setting, this role requires a seasoned consultant profile with strong analytical and advisory capabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and model end-to-end business processes using BPMN and related techniques.
  • Advise stakeholders on strategic, organizational, and ICT-related questions.
  • Elicit, structure, and document business and functional requirements through interviews, workshops, and facilitation sessions.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional analyses and process models.
  • Support and align with project management activities, including planning, coordination, estimation, and follow-up.
  • Facilitate stakeholder communication and manage expectations across diverse internal parties.
  • Contribute to governance, documentation, and quality standards within a public-sector context.

What are we looking for?

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an ICT context.
  • You have proven experience with BPMN-based business process analysis and modeling.
  • You bring strong experience advising organizations on strategic, organizational, and IT-related challenges.
  • You have hands-on experience with business process modeling, domain modeling, and requirements definition.
  • You are able to apply multiple requirements elicitation techniques such as workshops, interviews, user stories, or journey mapping.
  • You have experience working in or with the public sector, including its governance and procurement constraints.
  • You are fluent in Dutch at CEFR level C2.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with modeling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect (BPMN, UML, ArchiMate).
  • Knowledge of data modeling and process modeling techniques and tools.
  • Demonstrated experience with stakeholder management in complex environments.
  • Familiarity with project management disciplines such as planning, budgeting, and coordination.
