You will join an established engineering team working on business-critical applications that support large-scale energy infrastructure operations. The role focuses on hands-on development, contributing high-quality code to existing systems while adhering to strong engineering standards.
You will work in a collaborative environment alongside internal teams and other external consultants, supporting ongoing initiatives rather than greenfield experimentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using .NET 8 and Python.
- Deliver clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in line with defined development standards.
- Work with relational and NoSQL data stores to support application functionality and performance.
- Integrate messaging and asynchronous processing components where required.
- Collaborate with team members to analyse requirements, implement solutions, and resolve defects.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
What are we looking for?
- You have hands-on experience developing applications with .NET 8.
- You have practical experience with Python in a production environment.
- You have worked with SQL Server in application development contexts.
- You have experience using MongoDB as a document-oriented data store.
- You have worked with message brokers, specifically RabbitMQ.
- You communicate clearly, take accountability for your work, and collaborate effectively within a team.
- You are fluent in English and fluent in French OR Dutch, with at least a passive understanding of the other national language.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience working in large, enterprise-scale environments.
- Familiarity with distributed systems or event-driven architectures.
- Prior experience in infrastructure, utilities, or regulated industries.
