Our client, a significant organization within the public sector, is looking for a Lead Java Developer to drive technical excellence within their development environment. The role involves overseeing complex application development while providing technical leadership and coaching to a dedicated team of developers.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead and coach a team of developers to ensure high-quality technical output and professional growth.
- Execute complex programming tasks including coding, testing, and debugging of enterprise applications.
- Guide the development of Java-based solutions using modern frameworks and cloud technologies.
- Facilitate and lead development activities within an Agile methodology framework.
- Oversee the integration of databases and RESTful services into the application landscape.
- Implement and maintain continuous integration pipelines to ensure robust software delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures.
What are we looking for?
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot.
- 3+ years of experience with data management using DB2 or Postgres.
- Experience implementing continuous integration practices.
- Proven track record in technical leadership, coaching developers, and leading Agile ceremonies.
- Professional certification in Java development or equivalent through extensive experience.
- You possess strong analytical skills for efficient debugging and test-driven development.
- You are fluent in Dutch with a C2 level of proficiency.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with frontend development using React.
- Knowledge of container orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Practical experience with REST services and API integration.
- Familiarity with Atlassian Tools.
- Previous experience working within the public sector or government organizations.
