Our client, a leading organization in the public sector, is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to spearhead the development of a new digital application. This role involves guiding the technical direction and implementation of a greenfield project within a modern architectural landscape.

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for a new application development project.
  • Design and implement robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Oversee frontend development ensuring high-quality user interfaces with Angular.
  • Implement and maintain hexagonal architecture patterns to ensure long-term maintainability.
  • Guide the integration of secure API gateways and specialized public service building blocks.
  • Ensure continuous integration and delivery through automated DevOps pipelines.
  • Promote DevSecOps practices and integrate security standards into the development lifecycle.

What are we looking for?

  • You have at least 1 year of experience in a Technical Lead or Lead Developer role.
  • You bring 8+ years of backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  • You possess 5+ years of experience with frontend development using Angular and TypeScript.
  • You have extensive experience with RESTful APIs and API Gateway technologies.
  • You bring advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL or EnterpriseDB.
  • You have proven experience with Hexagonal Architecture (Ports and Adapters).
  • You have experience with containerization using Docker and OpenShift or Kubernetes.
  • You bring experience in DevOps and CI/CD using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and SonarQube.
  • You possess knowledge of security practices including OAuth2, ACM/IDM, and DevSecOps.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with public sector integration components and building blocks.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like Micrometer and Azure Sentinel.
  • Experience with OWASP Dependency-Check.
