We’re looking for a Problem & Incident Analyst to help ensure system continuity and reduce incident backlogs within a high-availability data exchange environment.
You’ll join a collaborative operations team that serves as the first point of contact for market participants — analysing issues, coordinating resolutions, and contributing to process improvements in line with ITIL standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a first experience in problem analysis or functional support who wants to deepen their expertise in data-driven incident management within the Belgian energy sector.
What You’ll Do
- Analyse complex incidents to identify root causes and propose effective solutions.
- Coordinate resolution efforts between internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and facilitate recurring bilateral meetings with external partners to track progress and share updates.
- Document and prioritise issues in collaboration with the problem and change teams.
- Maintain a structured backlog of incidents and ensure accurate follow-up.
- Write clear work instructions and workaround documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by grouping recurrent incidents for deeper analysis.
- Work closely with analysts and developers to ensure problems are fully understood and resolved.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- 1+ year of experience as a Business Analyst, Problem Analyst, or similar function.
- Practical knowledge of SQL (writing, modifying, and executing queries).
- Familiarity with incident management tools (e.g. Jira, TopDesk, ServiceNow, Atlassian).
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Experience with business process improvement (BPM).
- Knowledge of the Belgian energy market and Message Exchange (MEX) domains (structure, rectification, measure, cross).
- Familiarity with MIG6 and/or MIG DGO frameworks.
- Fluent in Dutch or French (C1), with good command of English (C1).
Nice-to-Have Skills
- ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent through experience.
