We are looking for a senior Business/Functional Analyst to strengthen the Commercial Channels & Products domain. You will join a dynamic team of analysts and solution designers shaping the future of sales channels, ticketing systems, mobile apps, and aftersales solutions. Your role is to translate business needs into functional specifications, support development teams, and guide projects through the full lifecycle.
This is a high-impact role in a complex and visible environment, improving the digital experience for millions of end users.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to capture and document requirements, objectives, and processes.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and solution designs.
- Challenge stakeholders constructively to ensure optimal solutions.
- Support development teams to ensure technical delivery aligns with business requirements.
- Safeguard existing business and solution architecture and liaise with enterprise/system architects.
- Contribute to test planning, user acceptance testing, and troubleshooting of functional issues.
- Present designed end products (process analysis, test scenarios, documentation) to stakeholders.
- Proactively identify bottlenecks and propose alternatives.
What are we looking for?
- You have at least 7 years of experience as a Business/Functional Analyst.
- Strong skills in requirements gathering, SDLC methodologies, and functional design.
- Proven expertise (5+ years) with modeling tools such as BPMN or UML.
- At least 5 years’ experience working in SAFe/Agile environments.
- Languages: C1 in English, plus C1 in French or Dutch.
- Familiarity with relational databases/SQL, APIs, and system design principles.
- Nice to have: experience with e-commerce, web/mobile development (e.g. Sitecore CMS), or the public transport sector.

Location: Brussels, full onsite presence required (up to 5 days/week).
Contract: Freelance or Permanent

End date: 31/12/2026 (long-term assignment).
