As an AI Engineer, you’ll work at the intersection of applied research and development — helping design, build, and integrate AI solutions into production-grade software environments.
We’re looking for a hands-on builder who combines a strong software engineering mindset with practical experience in AI and machine learning. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact, scalable AI applications.
Your Role
- You design and implement AI-driven solutions that integrate seamlessly with business applications.
- You develop and deploy Python-based AI models, connecting them via APIs (REST, WebSockets) to backend or frontend components.
- You build proof-of-concepts and contribute to AI feature integration in production systems.
- You experiment with computer vision, machine learning, and multimodal models (image, text, video).
- You collaborate with developers and data engineers to ensure smooth integration, scalability, and maintainability.
- You share knowledge and best practices on AI implementation and architecture across teams.
What are we looking for?
Must-Have Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience with Python in AI, ML, or data-driven contexts.
- Proven experience integrating AI models via APIs (REST, WebSockets).
- Hands-on experience with Node.js and React.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
- Practical experience with computer vision frameworks such as YOLO, OpenCV, Detectron2, TensorRT, or NVIDIA DeepStream.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and model deployment workflows.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Language requirement: Dutch (C2) mandatory for collaboration and reporting; English (B2) for technical communication.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with AI/ML models (e.g. GPT, Claude, LLaMA, CLIP, BLIP, Flamingo).
- Knowledge of PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Familiarity with fine-tuning and prompt engineering for LLMs and VLMs.
- Experience with Docker and containerized AI environments.
- Understanding of GPU acceleration, CUDA, and the NVIDIA ecosystem.
- Knowledge of vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
- Experience with data preprocessing, multimodal AI, and bot development.
- Familiarity with data platforms like Databricks or Data Fabric.
