We are looking for an accomplished Expert Java Developer ready to take on significant responsibilities that will shape the future of our projects.
- You develop and enhance an existing Java Desktop application within a microservices architecture.
- You collaborate with the architecture team to design and define the future microservices architecture.
- You implement developer tools, including monitoring dashboards, to streamline operations.
- You actively participate in an Agile team, contributing to technically challenging and business-critical projects.
- You maintain a user-centric mindset while communicating effectively with business teams.
- You may later engage with the new microservices-based application or other applications within the team.
- You demonstrate proactive and independent work ethics in all assigned tasks.
What are we looking for?
- You have a strong experience level of 10 years in Java development.
- You are proficient in Java versions 17–21.
- You possess strong skills in Relational databases (MySQL / MariaDB).
- You bring knowledge and experience in Spring Boot and Spring Data.
- You are an excellent communicator.
- You show strong problem-solving skills.
- You have experience working in a team-oriented environment.
- You have the ability to commit to the project’s long-term success.
- You are proficient in French and/or Dutch at C1 level and English at C1 level.

Location: Brussels (hybrid)
Contract: Freelance or Permanent
Start date: 17 November 2025
End date: 15 November 2030
On-call availability: 1 week per month (maximum)
