Join a large-scale transformation program within the retail insurance domain. As a Functional Analyst, you’ll play a key role in bridging business needs and IT delivery. You'll be translating complex insurance processes and data flows into clear, actionable requirements for a modernized, API-driven application landscape.
This is a hands-on analytical role for someone who combines deep domain understanding with strong technical awareness and communication skills.
Your Role
- You analyze and understand business needs within the retail insurance domain, ensuring a full grasp of the initiative’s context and objectives.
- You document and clarify functional and non-functional requirements across applications, from frontend to backend integrations.
- You map and describe application interconnections to ensure coherent integration in a complex IT landscape.
- You understand insurance data models and translate new requirements into structured analysis documents.
- You contribute to specifications for databases, APIs, and data mappings, ensuring alignment with architectural guidelines.
- You prepare and support testing activities to validate deliverables against requirements.
- You collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, Business Analysts, and Developers within an Agile team.
What are we looking for?
Must-Have Skills
- 5–7 years of experience in functional analysis within the insurance sector.
- Proven experience in P&C retail or related insurance domains.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, including how frontend and backend components interact.
- Solid grasp of databases, APIs, and data mapping concepts.
- Structured, detail-oriented, and able to deliver precise, complete analyses.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Language requirement: Fluent in English and French
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience in Agile delivery environments (Scrum, SAFe).
- Familiarity with enterprise transformation or modernization programs.
- Affinity with insurance data models or core system migration projects.
