We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join an Agile team working on large-scale applications in the utilities space. You will help ensure the reliability and quality of these applications by designing and executing test plans, building automated test suites, and collaborating closely with developers and project leaders.

Your Responsibilities

  • Test Design – Write clear test plans and scenarios (functional, performance, integration, regression) based on documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Test Data – Prepare or create the necessary datasets for execution.
  • Test Execution – Run test scenarios, document results with logs/screenshots, and give clear “Go/No-Go” recommendations.
  • Automation – Implement and maintain automated test suites, selecting the right cases to cover.
  • Defect Management – Report, track, and follow up on defects; update test documentation accordingly.
  • Reporting – Deliver concise updates on test progress, quality, and risks.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in test planning, design, and scenario writing.
  • Hands-on skills in test automation (Python or similar scripting; ability to explain logic in pseudocode).
  • Basic knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and query writing.
  • Agile/Scrum team experience.
  • Solid understanding of IT basics (client-server, APIs, front-end vs. back-end, protocols).
  • Experience with Robot Framework is a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of RabbitMQ, DevOps ticketing, or security testing is a plus.
  • Strong English (written/spoken); French and/or Dutch are an advantage.

What do we offer?
