We’re looking for an experienced IT Project Leader to coordinate and guide a team of about 10 professionals working in an Agile environment.

The team develops and maintains several critical digital services for public-sector organizations in the fields of healthcare, youth assistance, and pharmaceuticals.

You will oversee both ongoing operations and new development initiatives — ensuring that every release is delivered on time, within scope, and to the expected quality standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead multiple Agile development projects and coordinate activities across analysts, architects, and developers.
  • Act as Scrum Master, supporting team velocity and sprint planning.
  • Manage capacity planning, release planning, and scope control to align with business objectives.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with business stakeholders, IT teams, and infrastructure partners.
  • Monitor project scope, budget, timelines, and risks, following Prince2 principles.
  • Provide structured reporting on progress, KPIs, and SLAs to both management and end users.
  • Anticipate and mitigate project risks such as scope creep, schedule delays, or resource bottlenecks.
  • Ensure stable operations of existing applications, including incident management and SLA follow-up.
  • Translate complex technical or architectural concepts into language that business stakeholders understand.

Technical Environment

  • Technologies: Java, Spring Boot, Angular
  • Infrastructure: OpenShift, PostgreSQL
  • Methodologies: Agile / Scrum, Prince2
  • Context: Service-driven, incident-managed IT environments

What are we looking for?

Must-Have Skills

  • Proven experience as an IT Project Leader or Project Manager (ideally in public or regulated sectors).
  • Hands-on knowledge of Agile / Scrum and Prince2.
  • Strong technical affinity – able to challenge, guide, and support teams working with modern Java / OpenShift stacks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication across business and IT.
  • Ability to understand and discuss functional analyses and system architectures at a practical level.
  • Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written); English is an asset.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with healthcare, government, or regulated IT systems.
  • Familiarity with KPI and SLA management.
  • Background in environments combining development and operations responsibilities.
