Join a collaborative IT team responsible for the smooth operation of web and intranet applications used daily across the organization that helps the lives of thousands of citizens every day. You’ll be the key point of contact for application users, combining technical troubleshooting with proactive maintenance and small-scale development.
What you’ll do
- Act as the functional and technical owner for several web applications (mainly Drupal-based).
- Provide second-line support to end users, resolving incidents and liaising with vendors when necessary.
- Perform updates, upgrades, and small enhancements to ensure stability and performance.
- Evaluate applications and define maintenance or migration strategies where needed.
- Contribute to improvement projects and application lifecycle management activities.
- Plan and implement organizational or technical changes related to the supported applications.
- Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, system engineers, and service desk colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What are we looking for?
Requirements
- You have at least 3 years of experience as an Application Administrator or Functional Application Owner.
- You are proficient in Drupal (versions 9–11) and comfortable diagnosing and fixing application-level issues.
- You have hands-on experience with Git and Jenkins for version control and automated deployments.
- You are familiar with application lifecycle management and can manage development, test, and production environments effectively.
- You have experience applying ITIL processes such as configuration and change management.
- You can evaluate applications functionally and technically, and define appropriate maintenance or migration strategies.
- You have led or initiated improvement or migration projects related to business applications.
- You are comfortable working in a Linux-based environment.
- You have knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, and Sass.
- You have experience with Symfony (v5–7) and understand modern web application frameworks.
- You communicate fluently in Dutch (C2 level) and can collaborate easily with users and IT colleagues.
- Prior experience in a public-sector or multi-stakeholder environment.
- Broader interest in web content management, user experience, or open-source ecosystems.
