Our client, a prominent research and engineering center, is seeking dedicated Design & Engineering Drafters to support their technical office. The role involves developing mechanical constructions, process installations, and technical infrastructure from initial concepts to detailed fabrication models.
Your responsibilities:
- Create detailed design sketches for mechanical, process, and infrastructure installations.
- Transform design concepts into technical 3D CAD models using specific engineering software.
- Perform fundamental dimensioning and strength calculations based on technical datasheets and integrated calculation tools.
- Generate comprehensive 2D fabrication drawings including precise measurements and tolerances.
- Select and integrate appropriate commercially available standard components into designs.
- Manage version control and revision history within specialized data management systems.
- Archive released technical drawings according to established organizational standards.
What are we looking for?
- You have 5+ years experience in the design of mechanical constructions, including steel structures, machine building, or piping.
- You possess advanced proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and/or PTC Creo for 3D modeling.
- You bring a solid understanding of mechanical strength calculations and conventional strength theory.
- You hold a Master in Industrial Sciences (Mechanics or Electromechanics) or a Bachelor in Electromechanics with equivalent experience.
- You're experienced with common construction materials, fabrication techniques, and welding methods.
- You are fluent in Dutch (B2-C1) with a good knowledge of English (B1).
- Willingness to undergo a medical check-up and obtain necessary security clearances.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with data management tools Autocad Vault or PTC Windchill.
- Proficiency in both Inventor and Creo CAD packages.
- Practical use of FEA tools within CAD environments.
