To support this ambition, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong cloud, Python and SQL experience to help build scalable data pipelines, contribute to the data platform, and enable meaningful data use across the organisation. You will work in a modern cloud environment and collaborate with architects, data analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact data solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Design, build and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, transformation and delivery.
  • Develop high-quality data solutions using Python, SQL and cloud-native technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of data lakes, data warehouses and analytical datasets.
  • Collaborate with architects on data modelling, governance and architecture decisions.
  • Ensure code quality, version control and CI/CD practices (Git).
  • Support cloud platform evolution using IaC practices (Terraform).
  • Work in an Agile team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Help democratise data access within the organisation.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent through experience.
  • You have at least 4 years of experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
  • You demonstrate strong skills in Python and data pipeline development (minimum 3 years).
  • You possess solid experience with SQL (minimum 6 years).
  • You have experience with Data Lakes, dbt, and Data Warehousing.
  • You are knowledgeable in using Git for version control.
  • You have familiarity with Terraform and cloud DWH platforms (e.g. Delta Lake, Snowflake, BigQuery, Synapse).
  • You have experience with modelling techniques such as ArchiMate, TOGAF, UML or Sparx EA.
  • You have experience operating as a specialist architect in at least one domain (infrastructure, application, data, security, process…).
  • You are proficient in Dutch at CEFR level C2.
  • You understand general business processes and project management fundamentals (timing, coordination, estimations).
  • Experience with machine learning and.or Power BI is considered a plus.
