Our client, a leading organization in the energy and utilities sector, is looking for a Technical Functional Analyst to join their GIS and Asset Management team. This role involves supporting the evolution of a complex GIS ecosystem and contributing to the implementation of critical electrical network load simulation tools.
Your responsibilities:
- Translate complex business needs into clear functional solutions for network simulation and asset management.
- Lead workshops with stakeholders to capture requirements and define alignment with existing IT architectures.
- Define and validate functional designs for integrated systems including GIS, ADMS, and mobile tools.
- Coordinate the full development lifecycle from requirements analysis to functional specification validation.
- Prepare and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality and performance of delivered applications.
- Provide technical support and GIS desktop analyses to assist in complex network modeling and simulation tasks.
What are we looking for?
- 5+ years of professional experience in GIS domains.
- 3+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial Asset Management processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Oracle SQL for data management and analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of Python for automation and scripting.
- Extensive experience with QGIS for spatial analysis and data visualization.
- Solid understanding of API standards (REST, SOAP) and integration formats (JSON, XML).
- Proven experience with GIS network systems specifically within electricity, gas, or fiber utilities.
- Proactive and analytical mindset with strong communication and coordination skills.
- You are fluent in English and fluent in either French or Dutch, with at least a B2 level in the second language (French or Dutch).
Nice to Haves
- Experience with Hexagon products such as Core Networks, Networks Portal, or G/Technology.
- Knowledge of QGIS Server and experience implementing network simulation tools.
- Proficiency with modeling and documentation tools like UML, BPMN, and Enterprise Architect.
- Familiarity with JIRA and Postman for development tracking and API testing.
- Prior experience within the energy sector.
