We’re looking for a Junior Business Analyst to join a dynamic team driving transformation within the energy sector. This is an ideal opportunity for a young professional eager to develop analytical, process, and communication skills in a fast-evolving industry.
You’ll work closely with experienced analysts, data experts, and project teams to understand business needs, model processes, analyze data, and help shape solutions that improve efficiency and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior analysts to analyze and document business processes.
- Support requirements gathering and translate business needs into functional specifications.
- Conduct data analysis using SQL and Python for extraction, cleaning, and reporting.
- Use BPMN and UML to model workflows and identify optimization opportunities.
- Contribute to dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI or Tableau.
- Help interpret key trends and present insights in a clear, concise way.
- Participate in change and transformation initiatives that improve processes and systems.
- Work in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (business, IT, and operations).
- Contribute to test, validation, and rollout activities for new or updated processes.
- Support continuous improvement by collecting feedback and suggesting enhancements.
What are we looking for?
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent through experience).
- 1 year of experience (internships included) in data or business analysis.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Experience with data analysis using SQL and Python (minimum 1 year).
- Proficiency in process modelling using BPMN and UML.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel and analytical tools.
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Knowledge of data modelling and requirement documentation techniques.
Business & Communication Skills
- Interest in the energy industry or regulated environments is a plus.
- Experience supporting change management initiatives is an advantage.
Languages
- Dutch or French: Fluent (C2 – required)
