We are looking for an experienced Dutch-speaking Functional Analyst to drive digitalization projects for a key governmental client. You will be the crucial link between stakeholders and development teams, transforming business needs into concrete solutions within an Agile environment.

  • You analyze and translate business needs into process analyses, functional designs, and technical specifications that developers can work with.
  • You define and assess requirements, modeling complex questions into workable functional and/or technical designs.
  • You collaborate closely with clients and team members to address quality requirements, impact analysis, risks, and application security.
  • You guide and inform developers throughout the entire development process, providing clear direction and detailed functional information.
  • You coordinate quality assurance, keeping the project manager informed of any developments that may impact the project timeline or scope.
  • You create and execute functional tests to ensure the final product meets client requirements and expectations.
  • You support stakeholders by providing necessary documentation and training, ensuring smooth adoption of new solutions.
  • You monitor projects closely, working with colleagues to bring initiatives to successful completion while keeping client priorities front and center.

What are we looking for?

  • You have minimum 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst in complex IT environments.
  • You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in economics, IT, or a technical field with proven experience in the IT sector.
  • You master Agile and Scrum methodologies and have hands-on experience working in Agile teams.
  • You have strong expertise in analysis techniques and methodologies (RUP, Scrum, data management, etc.).
  • You understand development technologies, including Java (back-end), HTML/CSS (front-end), webservices, and XML.
  • You have solid knowledge of ICT infrastructure and architecture fundamentals.
  • You excel in business analysis and requirement gathering, with the ability to understand complex business domains quickly.
  • You are an excellent communicator at various levels, serving as the ideal bridge between stakeholders and IT experts.
  • Speaking of which, you are a native Dutch speaker, as all analysis work is conducted in Dutch for Flemish government projects.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in social security or healthcare sectors
  • Familiarity with government digitalization projects
  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders in complex environments
