Our client, a global leader in pharmaceutical R&D, is seeking a skilled Chemist to join their analytical center of excellence. The role focuses on developing innovative analytical test methods for the quantification of nitrosamines using advanced mass spectrometry techniques within a laboratory environment.

Your responsibilities:

  • Design and develop advanced analytical methods for nitrosamine quantification including sample preparation and chromatographic separation.
  • Support comprehensive root cause investigations related to chemical reactivity within the R&D portfolio.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore innovative techniques and rapid learning opportunities.
  • Initiate and lead partnerships with universities and research institutions to expand the external innovation network.
  • Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with regulatory requirements, GMP, and safety regulations.

What are we looking for?

  • You have a PhD in analytical or organic chemistry, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • You possess demonstrated experience in mass spectrometry technologies such as Triple Quadrupole and High-Resolution MS.
  • You bring a proactive, self-steering, and results-driven approach with a strong sense of scientific curiosity.
  • You are fluent in English.

Nice to Haves

  • Proven expertise in nitrosamines determination and familiarity with chromatographic method development.
  • Knowledge of ICH, EMA, and FDA regulatory frameworks and GMP validation guidelines.
  • Work-related experience in pharmaceutical R&D.
