You will join a cloud-driven data product team working on the modernization of a large-scale digital data platform with direct impact on environmental and infrastructure operations. The role focuses on building robust, secure, and scalable data products that enable high-quality reporting, integrations, and operational insights. You will work in close collaboration with analysts, business stakeholders, and IT colleagues within an Agile SAFe setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data products for reporting and operational integrations
- Build and evolve incremental and streaming data pipelines on a modern Azure data platform
- Implement industry best practices for data modeling, data flows, security, and software-oriented data design
- Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to analyze data structures and relationships
- Contribute to integrations with ERP, asset management, and SaaS platforms
- Actively support digital transformation initiatives and adoption of innovative data technologies
What are we looking for?
- You have hands-on experience as a Data Engineer working on cloud-based data platforms
- You bring strong expertise in Python, PySpark, and SQL
- You have practical experience with Azure Databricks and Apache Spark
- You have experience with Azure Data Factory and cloud-based data orchestration
- You are familiar with medallion architecture and dimensional modeling (facts and dimensions)
- You apply Security by Design, including identity management and encryption concepts
- You are native Dutch with good working knowledge of English
Nice to Haves
- Experience integrating data from ERP or asset management systems
- Experience working with APIs and SaaS data sources
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and platform automation
- Experience with streaming concepts such as Spark Structured Streaming or Delta Change Data Feed
