We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead IT projects in the domain of commercial channels and products, with a specific focus on ticket vending machine solutions. In this role, you will manage projects end-to-end, from defining scope and KPIs through planning, delivery, and reporting. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, IT teams, and business partners to ensure high-quality outcomes that deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects from initiation to closure, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget.
- Define project goals, deliverables, and KPIs in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and communication materials.
- Track business value creation and report progress transparently to steering committees.
- Manage risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate across IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate SteerCo and project update meetings, providing clear communication at all levels.
- Ensure alignment with governance frameworks and project methodologies
What are we looking for?
- 10+ years of proven project management experience in IT projects.
- Strong background in both software and hardware project delivery.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Agile project management (SAFe knowledge is an asset).
- At least 5 years of demonstrable experience with e-commerce solutions.
- Public sector experience (10+ years) and knowledge of the public transport domain are strong assets.
- Familiar with project management frameworks: PM², PMBOK (preferred), Prince2, and ITIL.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- “Can do” mindset with strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
- Languages: C1 in Dutch, French, and English (all three are required).
What do we offer?
Location: Brussels
Hybrid regime: 2 days onsite/week standard, up to 5 days during project workshops, kick-offs, or PI planning.
Contract: Freelance or Permanent, full-time.
Start date: 01/11/2025.
End date: 31/10/2027 (long-term assignment).
