We're looking for a Test Automation Engineer to lead test automation for web applications and APIs (SOAP/REST) within the Customer Management domain of a large healthcare IT organization. Focus on automated testing (80%) with expertise in SOAPUI, working with development teams to ensure quality throughout the development cycle.
We're looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer to work in the Customer Management Tribe, providing functional support and second-line testing for applications serving healthcare/insurance operations.
What you'll do
- You create and develop test scenarios and test cases, maintaining them in collaboration with analysts, developers, and project leaders.
- You execute tests during the development phase, focusing 80% on automated testing and 20% on manual testing.
- You identify and create test scenarios for web applications and SOAP APIs using SOAPUI and Selenium.
- You execute regression and non-regression testing to ensure integrity of current functionalities.
- You manage test framework execution, monitoring progress and adjusting where necessary.
- You report on quality and progress to development teams and team leaders.
- You document test results and communicate thoroughly with stakeholders.
- You analyze and report improvements to the development cycle, avoiding production issues.
- You participate in peer review of deliverables from other testers (scenarios, plans, automated tests).
What are we looking for?
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent through experience.
- You have 5+ years of professional testing experience.
- You have expert knowledge of SOAPUI for API testing.
- You have very strong knowledge of web services (REST and SOAP) with IBM Integration Bus (IIB) experience.
- You have very strong knowledge of Java for scripting with Selenium.
- You have strong knowledge of software testing (4+ years experience).
- You have strong knowledge of testing tools and methodologies (ISTQB, Selenium, RQM, or equivalent).
- You have good knowledge of quality assurance practices (4+ years experience).
- You have basic knowledge of SQL (DB2, MySQL, SQLServer).
- You are fluent in Dutch OR French (required).
- You are proficient in English, and fluent in either Dutch or French.
Nice-to-Have
- ISTQB certification
- Working knowledge of JMeter for performance testing
- Working knowledge of JIRA for test management
- Experience in healthcare, service, or insurance environments
- Limited experience with IBM environments and IBM Integration Bus
- Knowledge of development tools (Eclipse, IntelliJ, etc.)
