A specialized national security unit is looking for a Senior System Administrator to strengthen its technical operations team. This unit provides discreet technical and tactical support to law enforcement investigations and crisis response. The environment combines Windows and Linux systems, virtualized infrastructure, storage and backup platforms, and specialized telecom interception tools, requiring a skilled administrator with both breadth and depth.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and upgrade existing and future system infrastructures across Windows and Linux environments
• Configure, deploy, and administer operating systems, Active Directory, and system softwareo
• Administer virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V) and support containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) where used
• Ensure the security, availability, and performance of systems and data
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to guarantee consistency and efficiency
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and propose improvements
• Manage and optimize storage and backup solutions in a high-availability environment
• Document technical configurations and operational procedures clearly and consistently
• Contribute to the evolution of infrastructure strategies to meet changing operational needs
• Adapt solutions to support telecom interception platforms and data-intensive systems such as InterSystems Caché running on Linux
• Demonstrate initiative, problem-solving, and self-directed learning while contributing to team objectives
