You will join the ICT Security team of a critical infrastructure organization, where security, reliability, and resilience are non-negotiable. The team works on protecting both office IT environments and industrial control systems, in close collaboration with ICT, operations, and business stakeholders.
As a Functional Analyst with a strong ICT Security background, you play a key role in translating security needs into concrete, workable solutions. You help shape secure architectures, improve monitoring and detection capabilities, and ensure that security requirements are clearly defined, documented, and implemented.
Your Role
- You support incident detection and response activities, contributing your security and analytical expertise to keep systems resilient and secure.
- You collaborate closely with ICT teams and business stakeholders to understand monitoring, detection, and security needs, and translate them into clear functional and security requirements.
- You design, document, and improve processes and procedures related to security tooling, monitoring, and detection.
- You contribute to the design and formalization of secure architectures for both office IT environments and industrial control systems.
- You analyze existing infrastructure, gather input from application, operations, and business teams, and assess risks and improvement opportunities.
- You document and implement business and security requirements using recognized standards such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001/27002, and IEC 62443.
- You identify gaps and inefficiencies in current security setups and propose practical, forward-looking solutions that balance security, usability, and operational constraints.
What are we looking for?
- You have at least 2 years of experience in ICT security combined with functional analysis or a closely related role.
- You have strong analytical skills and are comfortable structuring complex problems, clarifying requirements, and translating them into actionable solutions.
- You have a solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001/27002, and IEC 62443.
- You are familiar with application and infrastructure architectures and can assess impacts across systems and environments.
- You are comfortable performing bottom-up analysis and research to support diagnostics, impact assessments, and decision-making.
- You communicate clearly and effectively, with strong listening skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into language that non-technical stakeholders understand.
- You adapt easily to changing legal, regulatory, and organizational contexts.
- You are fluent in Dutch or French (spoken) and have a strong command of English (written).
