Join an established team dedicated to advancing rail transport systems and enhancing safety through innovative signalling engineering. Our client seeks a driven professional who will play a critical role in executing major signaling projects.

As an ideal candidate, you are an experienced Design Technician – Signalling with a comprehensive understanding of signalling modifications and technical adaptations. Your expertise will be key in translating complex requirements into actionable execution plans.

  • You produce detailed execution drawings for signalling and ICT field teams based on required technical adaptations.
  • You interpret and update technical inventories related to signalling installations.
  • You contribute to the design and adaptation of existing and new signalling chains.
  • You work with diagnosis systems (UCC, PQUBE, etc.) to support ongoing monitoring activities.
  • You perform hardware studies for TBL1+ and ETCS systems.
  • You collaborate with engineers and project stakeholders, ensuring regular consultation moments.
  • You deliver high-quality documentation within set deadlines.

What are we looking for?

  • You have 10–14 years of relevant experience.
  • You possess strong experience within signalling environments.
  • You can work independently while maintaining active communication with the team.
  • You have strong attention to detail and punctuality in meeting deadlines.
  • You have experience with fibre-optic applications in signalling, preferably within a railway context for at least 5 years.
  • You have in-depth experience with design & adaptation of signalling chains for at least 10 years.
  • You have proficiency in using diagnosis systems (UCC, PQUBE, etc.) for at least 5 years.
  • You are familiar with conducting hardware studies for TBL1+/ETCS systems for at least 5 years.
  • You have experience in maintaining and interpreting technical signalling inventories for 3 years.
  • You have basic electricity knowledge for 1-2 years.
  • You are skilled in AutoCAD, with experience of 3–5 years.
  • You can demonstrate fluency in Dutch or French, with knowledge of the second national language considered an asset.
