Our client, a prominent research and technology organization, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support their electricity and automation group. The role focuses on translating conceptual designs into detailed electrical dossiers for technical infrastructure projects.
Your responsibilities:
- Translate conceptual and basic designs into comprehensive electrical dossiers and designs in consultation with project managers.
- Provide electrical expertise during risk analyses, including HAZOP, for planned installations.
- Create independent design and implementation plans in EPLAN, focusing on automation panels.
- Develop detailed plans for panel construction, including bill of materials and panel layouts.
- Prepare documentation for electrical inspections, including cable and temperature calculations using CANECO.
- Maintain as-built drawings for completed installations and oversee panel construction and inspection processes.
What are we looking for?
- You possess a Master’s degree in Industrial Sciences (Electromechanics/Electricity) or equivalent through experience.
- You have 5+ years of experience in electrical design and drafting.
- You bring proven experience with automation panels according to AREI/RGIE and EN-60204-1 standards.
- You are proficient in electrical design software, specifically EPLAN and CANECO.
- You are fluent in Dutch (B2) and English (B2) with a basic knowledge of French (A1).
- You are proactive and capable of working independently on complex technical dossiers.
