We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Coordinator (SAT) to support large-scale testing and quality assurance initiatives in the Belgian energy market.
You will work within a complex integration environment where multiple stakeholders — including vendors, analysts, and agile delivery teams — collaborate on delivering high-quality software for critical market processes.
As Test Coordinator, you will steer the System Acceptance Test (SAT) phase, ensuring consistency, structure, and communication across all testing streams. This role is ideal for a seasoned testing professional who enjoys coordinating multiple teams, balancing agile and waterfall practices, and driving continuous improvement in test maturity.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and facilitate System Acceptance Testing (SAT) activities across multiple projects and releases.
- Ensure test processes, standards, and agreements are understood and followed by all testers.
- Validate and review FAT test cases before SAT execution.
- Manage defects and tickets in ALM QC and Topdesk, ensuring proper prioritization and follow-up.
- Organize and lead test-related meetings and daily stand-ups (internal teams, vendors, MIT TestCo’s).
- Coach and guide the SAT testing team, ensuring quality focus and team alignment.
- Coordinate with vendors on defect analysis, bug fixing, and ensure corrective actions are tracked.
- Contribute to building a mature test organization, advising on test strategies and optimization opportunities.
- Communicate frequently with the Test Manager on progress, blockers, and improvement initiatives.
What are we looking for?
- ISTQB Foundation and Advanced Test Manager certification (Agile Extension also required).
- 7+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 5 years as Test Coordinator.
- Proven experience writing test strategies and test scenarios.
- Strong knowledge of formal test methods and techniques.
- Experience coordinating test teams within Agile / Scrum and hybrid environments.
- Skilled in defect and test management tools, especially ALM QC (reporting, test cycles, requirements) and Topdesk.
- Hands-on experience with XML, SQL, and SOAP UI for validation and interface testing.
- Strong communication and coaching skills; ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluent in Dutch or French (C1) with at least passive knowledge (B1) of the other language.
- Prior experience in the Belgian energy market (MIG-DGO / MIG6 domains).
- Familiarity with energy data exchange flows: Structure, Measure, Rectification, IMV/SMR3, DEX, FEX.
- Experience developing or optimizing test strategies across the software lifecycle.
- Exposure to testing automation or reporting integrations with ALM QC.
