Our client, a specialized research and development organization, is seeking a process engineer to support the design and construction of experimental pilot plants. The project involves translating high-level guidelines into technical requirements for process systems operating at high temperatures with liquid metal.
Your responsibilities:
- Translate high-level project guidelines into specific technical requirements for internal teams and external contractors.
- Draft technical specifications, procedures, and component selection for process installations.
- Perform basic process calculations regarding flow, heat, and strength.
- Coordinate and supervise multidisciplinary works across civil, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and process domains.
- Oversee the manufacturing process of mechanical components and manage the reception and quality control of delivered goods.
- Execute and monitor safety measures according to project safety plans and conduct risk analyses.
What are we looking for?
- You hold a degree in Industrial Sciences (Chemistry, Electromechanics, Energy, Nuclear Technology) or equivalent experience.
- You bring experience in creating, analyzing, and interpreting technical documentation, including P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
- You possess strong communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary and international team.
- You are fluent in Dutch and English (level C1 or C2).
Nice to Haves
- Experience within the process industry.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Willingness to undergo a security clearance process for access to categorized documents.
