We’re looking for an Enterprise Architect with deep expertise in Sparx Enterprise Architect to help evaluate, structure, and expand an existing Proof of Concept (POC) into a mature, organization-wide Enterprise Architecture tooling environment.

You’ll assess the current setup, define best practices, configure the tool, and model additional architectures to ensure a scalable and standardized approach for the broader IT department. This is a hands-on architecture enablement role — ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical depth with methodological structure and stakeholder collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the current Sparx Enterprise Architect (EA) Proof of Concept and assess improvement opportunities.
  • Define and document best practices for architecture modeling, governance, and tool usage.
  • Configure and optimize the EA environment (repositories, metamodels, viewpoints, templates, etc.).
  • Model additional enterprise, application, and process architectures in line with agreed standards.
  • Support the adoption of EA tooling across the IT department and coach internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the long-term roadmap for Enterprise Architecture maturity and tooling strategy.

What are we looking for?

Must-Have Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect.
  • Proven expertise in Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and modeling languages (UML, BPMN).
  • Strong understanding of architecture governance, tool configuration, and EA methodologies.
  • Active knowledge of Dutch and French, with at least passive understanding of English.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with other EA tools such as ARIS or similar.
  • Prior involvement in EA tool rollouts or organizational architecture transformation initiatives.

What do we offer?

Location: Brussels (Hybrid – partly on-site, partly remote)

Workload: Full-time or part-time (flexible, to be discussed)

Language: Dutch and/or French (active), English (passive)

Contract: Freelance or Permanent

Duration: ASAP - 01/04/2026
