Operational Excellence Project Lead
Brussels-Capital
Digital - Technics
Work experience: 5-7
Reference number: 92157
You will join the Digital Solutions team to launch and drive a new Operational Excellence (OpEx) initiative. This role is about building momentum from zero. You will shape the OpEx programme, define its foundations, structure the work, and ensure it moves from ambition to concrete execution. The goal is clear: improve efficiency, quality, and value delivery across the operational organization.
You work very closely with operational teams. This is not a conceptual role — success depends on hands-on collaboration, clear structure, and the ability to turn ideas into prioritized, executable initiatives.
What you’ll do
- You define and structure the Operational Excellence programme from the ground up, including its key pillars, scope, and governance.
- You identify, document, and validate improvement opportunities together with operational stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- You translate the programme into concrete workstreams, prioritize initiatives, and build a clear, realistic roadmap.
- You lead the kick-off and early execution of prioritized initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder buy-in.
- You monitor progress, manage risks and dependencies, and proactively remove obstacles to delivery.
- You assess the impact and added value of improvements and report clearly to management with insights and recommendations.
- You actively promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
What are we looking for?
- You are a senior profile with proven experience leading and structuring large-scale transformation or Operational Excellence initiatives.
- You have a strong track record in defining project frameworks, setting up governance, and managing complex, multi-pillar programmes.
- You are experienced in breaking down high-level ambitions into actionable workstreams and driving concrete execution.
- You communicate clearly, manage stakeholders confidently, and know how to build alignment without losing momentum.
- You work in a structured way, document rigorously, and are comfortable operating under time pressure with multiple priorities.
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and can clearly structure analyses and reporting.
- Experience in insurance or financial services, as well as exposure to process optimisation or Lean / Six Sigma, is a plus.
- You have a good working knowledge of English.
- You have a good to fluent command of Dutch and French.
