You’ll join a European initiative to modernize border management systems. The work focuses on building and maintaining applications that process traveler information and integrate with secure national and European systems. These are complex, high-visibility projects with a direct impact on public safety and digital innovation.
As a Full-Stack Developer you will:
- Design, develop, and test applications for both desktop and mobile.
- Build and maintain C#/.NET applications in a multi-user, high-availability environment.
- Contribute to both backend services and frontend interfaces.
- Work with analysts to understand user needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical support, documentation, and coaching to colleagues.
- Ensure quality through unit testing, scenario testing, and secure deployments.
Tech Environment
- Languages & Frameworks: C#, .NET Framework, REST services
- Extras/Pluses: Xamarin (mobile apps), SQL
- Tools & Platforms: Visual Studio 2019, Git, DevOps pipelines, Windows 10, Office 365
- Deliverables: Technical analyses, activity diagrams, database schemas, documented source code, setup files (MSI, APK, …)
What are we looking for?
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Proven expertise in C# and .NET development.
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases.
- Experience with Git and DevOps tools.
- Familiarity with RESTful services.
- Bonus if you have hands-on experience with Xamarin (Android/iOS).
- Knowledge of functional and technical analysis methods, including use cases and process description.
- Comfortable working with Agile/Scrum teams.
- Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and collaborate with team members.
- Languages:
- English – fluent (spoken & written).
- Dutch or French – at least passive understanding of the second national language to participate in meetings.
