As a Data Integrator, you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining the organization’s data infrastructure. You’ll design and implement robust ETL pipelines that transform complex business data into actionable insights — supporting analytics, business intelligence, and data-driven innovation.

You’ll work closely with architects, analysts, and business teams to ensure that data flows efficiently across systems and that information is modeled, stored, and maintained to the highest quality standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and physical data models across the data ecosystem.
  • Gather and translate integration requirements to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions for end users.
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes using IBM DataStage.
  • Manage and tune databases (DB2, Netezza, SQL) for performance and reliability.
  • Propose and apply standards, best practices, and documentation across projects.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve existing data processes and jobs.
  • Support Data Vault, Data Marts, and Data Lakes development.
  • Contribute to agile development processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong experience with ETL development (IBM DataStage).
  • Deep knowledge of SQL (advanced querying, optimization, stored procedures).
  • Experience with DB2 LUW, Netezza, and other relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server).
  • Familiarity with UNIX scripting (KSH / SH / Perl / Python).
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket).
  • Understanding of IBM Workload Scheduler (TWS).
  • Working knowledge of Agile principles.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Fluent in French or Dutch, and fluent in English

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical, Data Vault, Dimensional).
  • Familiarity with Big Data and Hadoop components (HDFS, Spark, Hive, Sqoop, HBase).
  • Exposure to Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI use cases.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, OLAP, NoSQL, or Tableau.
  • Experience designing or maintaining data warehouse appliances.

What do we offer?

Location: Anderlecht (hybrid, 2 days/week on-site; more during onboarding)

Contract: Freelance or Permanent

Duration: 6 months, extension possible
