We are seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer with proven experience in detecting, analyzing, and responding to security threats. You will play a critical role in monitoring systems, investigating incidents, managing vulnerabilities, and strengthening the overall security posture.
This is a hands-on role where you will contribute directly to both proactive defense and reactive incident handling,from running penetration tests to optimizing monitoring tools and processes.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor and investigate suspicious activities within the SOC environment.
- Take ownership of incident detection, analysis, and remediation.
- Maintain and improve security monitoring tools.
- Perform penetration tests and vulnerability scans to identify risks and flaws.
- Document and track security breaches, assess impact, and recommend corrective measures.
- Support continuous improvement of processes, standards, and playbooks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen security awareness and resilience.
What are we looking for?
5+ years of experience in information security, ideally within SOC or incident response teams
Strong expertise in:
- ICT fundamentals & application management
- Information security principles
- Vulnerability management and web security (OWASP)
- Cyber risk management and incident response
- Root cause analysis and security-driven remediation
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies.
Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and conceptual thinking skills.
Proactive, results-driven, and capable of working independently while thriving in a team setting.
